Local Candidate Eligibility

Each DCCB only recruits candidates local to the respective district for the posts available. For instance, candidates applying for the Chittoor DCCB must be locals of the Chittoor district. Local status is generally determined by either:

  • Studying at an educational institution in the local area for at least four continuous academic years leading up to the SSC (or equivalent) examination.
  • Having resided in the area for a minimum of four years before the SSC (or equivalent) examination, if not covered by the study criterion.

For candidates who do not meet the four-year local requirement, a seven-year study or residence criterion within the state may apply, as detailed in the official notification.

Educational Qualifications
