Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL), S.A.S. Qualification: First Class 3-year full-time Diploma in the discipline (Electronics also accepts First Class B.Sc. Electronics; Computer Science also accepts First Class BCA/B.Sc. Officer posts: Graduate with 10 years, Post Graduate with 5 years, or MBA (HR / Finance / Material Management as per post) with 2 years of supervisory-level experience; CA/ICWA also accepted for Accounts Officer. Junior Personal Assistant: 12th pass + stenography dictation 10 minutes @ 80 wpm, transcription 50 minutes (English) / 65 minutes (Hindi) on computer. *PwBD and ESM reservation is horizontal.

- Technician ‘B’: 18 to 27 years
- Technical Assistant: 18 to 30 years
- Administrative / Accounts / Purchase & Stores Officer: not exceeding 35 years
- Junior Personal Assistant: not exceeding 25 years
- Relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC (NCL) 3 years, PwBD 10/13/15 years, ESM as per rules; 5 years for serving employees of autonomous societies under MeitY (and DoS/DRDO/DAE for administrative posts).

The application-fee part is refunded only to Women/SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates who appear in the CBT; the Rs 600 processing fee is non-refundable for all.
Selection Process
- Technician-B and Technical Assistant: 120-minute CBT – Part A (100 MCQs: English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, GK) and Part B (100-mark trade-wise curriculum test); −0.25 per wrong answer; then a qualifying trade skill test (go/no-go). Merit is on CBT marks.
- Officer posts: CBT (Part A + Part B) followed by personal interview; CBT and interview weightage 60:40.
- Junior Personal Assistant: 60-minute CBT (Part A) and stenography skill test; merit on CBT marks.
- Shortlisting for skill test/interview in the ratio 1:5 (minimum 10 candidates). CBT centres: New Delhi, Chandigarh, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Kolkata; skill test/interview at S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali)/Chandigarh only.
