Educational qualification

• A B.V.Sc. or B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree from a university recognised by the Veterinary Council of India.
• Permanent registration with the Bihar Veterinary Council.

Reservation conditions

• Reservation applies only to permanent residents of Bihar. SC/ST candidates need caste and domicile certificates. BC/EBC candidates need a Bihar non-creamy layer certificate and domicile. EWS candidates need an income and asset certificate, valid for one year, and domicile.
• Women's caste and non-creamy layer certificates must show the father's name.
• The 35% horizontal reservation for women and the disability reservation are for Bihar domicile candidates only. Disability certificates must be in the prescribed format, and a medical board may re-examine the disability.
• Grandchildren of freedom fighters of Bihar who received central pension get 2% horizontal reservation, on a certificate from the District Magistrate.
• Transgender persons get the reservation benefits of the Backward Class.
• Candidates with a benchmark disability of 40% or more may have a scribe, if they ask for one in the form.
• Your category cannot be changed after registration.

BTSC TVO 2026 Selection Process

1. Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 marks, converted to a weightage of 75. Your percentage is multiplied by 0.75, so 60% becomes 45 marks.
2. Experience weightage: 5 marks for each year of contract service, up to 25 marks. A part year is counted as days worked × 5 ÷ 365. Experience counts up to 24.09.2026. Only candidates who pass the CBT get this weightage. It must be supported by a salary-payment certificate in the Appendix-I format, issued by the Director, Animal Husbandry, Bihar.
3. Merit list: The total out of 100 (CBT weightage + experience weightage).
4. Document verification: Candidates are called category by category in merit order. Attendance is compulsory.

How to Apply for BTSC TVO 2026

1. Go to www.btsc.bihar.gov.in and open the online application for Advertisement No. 27/2026. Applications are accepted between 24.09.2026 and 23.10.2026.
2. Register with your own mobile number and e-mail ID. Keep both active until the final selection.
3. Enter your Aadhaar number as photo ID if you can. Otherwise use PAN, a driving licence or another listed ID. You will need to show the same ID at the exam and counselling.
